For those of you that may not really understand just how well bred Miss Piggy is then here is a little lesson in pedigrees:

Her names is really Peppys Beauty Queen but Miss Piggy really does fit her better

Her sire Sugar Pep Rio is an NCHA earner of around 75,000 (he had an article written about him in the Western Horseman) he is by a full brother to Peppy San Badger and is mother was a working cowhorse named Mitza Bar who was by the immortal Doc Bar and out of the great mare Mitzi Chex (she is in on of the legends book because of King Fritz)

Her dam is Scarlett Beauty who is by Full Speed who is a full brother to the great sire Flit Bar  Scarlett Beauty is out of Pistolsfirecracker (cutting horse) who is by Nathez Pistol that is also a Flit horse.

She has 2 cross on her mares side to the great mare Flit.  Flit not only produces great old race horses but also Kings Pistol who was a winning Cutting horse.  The King Ranch bred for sorrel color so much that you have to go to the 3rd generation to find anything that is not sorrel and then there are only 2 that aren't.  This mare is a super athlete and produces the same, Rams should be able to really make a barrel horse out of her or raise some that everyone is going to have to chase.  They will run, work a cow or do about anything you would ever want.   clap2

WOW! Sounds like a damn good mare Ramsey! I love reading about different lines, want to start getting some of those Legends books.

Life ain't about how fast you run, or how high you climb, but how well you bounce.

Well coming from a long line of TB people, I tend to place a lot of importance on the mare themselves.  When looking at a stud the old timers that really did all the winning claim that the stallion will produce like his mother more than his sire.  Kind of makes you wonder doesn't it?   Most breeders give all the credit to the stud (which can have 200 or more foals a year) when they should maybe be looking at his mother.  This is also the reason that when picking studs it never bothers me to use full brothers when I can't afford the real thing.

And with that said.  Fire Water Flit has a half brother out there Letta Hank Do It (I think) that is out of his momma Slash J Harletta who was a multiple NFR qualifer herself.

Ramsays mare has what the TB people call a strong tail female line which is what you want in a producer, you want a mare that will be able to reproduce herself and her female family if possible.

The people that raised her mare have a bunch of young horses for sale and I think she may be getting out of the quarter horse business completely except for the old stud.
