I use to have a gelding that thought he was the man but only to my paint mare. I had to stop taking both of them to shows since he was a total jerk when it came to her. He had been around her since she was born and that was
his lady. If I took them both to a show, all he would do is think and wonder about her and not pay any attention to me or the fact we were there to run. At home he would run everybody else off or away from here. I had her mother and another paint mare here, but he neverpaid them much mind. When I lost her it broke his heart. I sold him a week later. I have seen him since then and he is just not the same ol' horse. While she was sick, he would just stand by her or real close near her. If I had to leave her in the barn, he would stand in the lean-to with his head through her window. It was both sweet and sad at the same time. Although this horse acted like a stud he never mounted anything. The other gelding never acted studish but mounted
his mare every chance he could.
