I was just wondering how many of you bred mares this year?  I have 8 broodmares and hope to get them all bred.  4 AQHA and 4 TB mares.  

when I was younger I would bounce, now I just splat

So I am guessing that most of you buy your horses and don't raise them?

I want to get into breeding more.  But yes I do normally buy my horses as 2 or younger.  They are generally cheeper when nothing really has been done with them.

I would love to be able to afford a finished barrel horse.  It just takes me alittle longer to get it done!  I don't like to push my horses, my mare was 6 before I ever started her on barrels.  [grin]
