Just doing alittle browsing and came across this stud Frenchmans Gold, you can see him at

What do you think of him??

Val has a stud that has some of these lines in him. Check hers out too. I know him as Ziggy. I think his name is PC Sun Socks or something like that.

I think she is working on one. I know she has a picture of him on this site. Maybe under "check out my baby" or something like that. I know he was on dream horse. Look under Inidana and I think you can narrow it down with her name.

Just checked him out!  He is very handsome!  I really like him!  I have seen about 10 trillion QH studs I want to breed too and only about 3-5 Paints!  Whats up with that?HuhHuhHuh??

That is a good looking horse Mine is Country Sun Socks and he is from South Dakota and is bred along the same lines as Frenchmans Guy.  My boys mother is an old Lopez ranch mare.  I haven't crossed him on a TB yet but one is supposed to be coming in this week sometime to breed to him.  There is a bad picture of him and I have 3 foals so far from this year here.  I may have to take some pictures and post them so everyone can see them. If you get on the allbreed pedigree site you can pull his pedigree up.

Most paints in this neck of the woods are mostly for halter and pleasure and if you go west the racing paints are for the most part solids.  

BTW if you are interested in breeding to Ziggy his fee is 400 LFG [wink]

You have a quarter horse and Speed paints are just now becoming popular in the mid west. Give it a few more years and you will see more here. It also does not help that APHA caters to the pleasure more then speed breds so they tend to show case pleasure or reining more then running. Unless you are track racing them. Then the will focus some on them. The speed classes are on the back burner for right now. They are getting better though. We are making our presences know more. The lady who owns Tiny Who Too, Jody Bryant, has done allot to get us noticed. It took her ten Paint world Championships to do it, but she is getting it done.

I'm looking at having to do AI anyway.  I can't find hardly anything thing I like (I like Juinor) in my price range!  That Frenchman horse, Ziggy, and I found a couple other ones I really like in a barrel magizine are what I want just no spots!  If my mare was a paint it would be easy cause I could breed to a QH and still have a paint!  

Val if you know of any paint studs let me know!

LOL!  Well they have a few other studs there by some of those sires, who are a bit cheaper.  Like Alamitos Sun Frost, he's the cremello that is shown in the main picture barrel racing.  He's the one I wanna breed Victory too.  Lemmie check their catalog... OHH yeah, they have an AWESOME b/w paint stud on their sale catalog... wonder where he was sold to.... well nevermind, he was gelded. LOL
