Best friend had her second foal of the year born this AM! Filly #2, this one is bay w/a small star but will probably end up graying out.

Here's daddy's pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/jae+bar+dusty  Dusty's won saddles in cutting & is now running barrels and doing quite well

And mama's: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/lucky+red+moon Fly's a top notch barrel horse but developed severe allergies so has been off a while

I'll post pix as soon as she sends them to me!

I was about to make a post asking if anyone wants to put dibs on the foal that Baby and Junior will have if I ever get her up there.

I already know that this baby is going to be awesome and it is not even conceived yet.
"How would I know this already" you may be asking?
I know this because it is getting to be a monumental task just to get her up there. I also know the harder it is for me to get something done the better the results are.
This is what has happened in the last 48 hours.
1. Baby got bit by a opossum.
2. Tonight she coliced and had to be taken to the vet.
3. I screwed up the safety chain on the trailer and now I can not get the trailer un-hooked from the truck.
4. I am supposed to be at work right now.
5. I have to borrow a neighbors car to get there. (6 hours late)


Yup, this is going to be on spectacular baby when it finally gets here. Or should I say, when we finally get there to get it here. [confused]

OMG HH, is Baby okay??? Well obviously so, huh? Hope ya get to work & you're right- what is hardest to get is usually the best- sounds like a fortune cookie LOL.

Baby is fine now. She had me almost scared at first but I caught it before she really got sick. Just a trip to the vet, a couple of shots and a half bucket of mineral oil and she is good to go. She even loaded in and backed out of the trailer. Twice! I am so proud of her.[grin] Now if I can just get my trailer un-hooked from my truck. [confused]

You could almost look at my life as a is it half empty or half full kind of scenario. I have at times I have wondered if I am cursed or blessed.

Either I am very cursed and must have been a really bad egg at one time or another to have to go through some of the things I have. OR I am very blessed with a whole army of angels on my side to make sure that I get through some of the things I have. [confused]

BTW, truck is now un-hooked from trailer. I just have to go get a new clamp for the safety chain.
Val, Baby will not be coming up until probably Thursday or Friday. Lets give it a few days before we try any trips over half the state. No sense in pushing my luck.

That is fine.  I will check and see which one of those days I have to work.  Hope she is getting better.

Not to laugh but with what has been happening to Baby Do I would say that the 2 of your fit together pretty good.

Horsehappy- I'm shaking my head right now!  I like to think everything happens for a reason!  Right now it may not seem like anything good is happening but maybe everything is happening so you will be more thankful when Jr becomes this great barrel horse and stallion!  You will have paid your early dues and it will be smooth sailing! Oh I would not say that nothing good has happened. As a matter of fact, I would say that allot of good has happened. I am still here and I have what I have always wanted in life. My farm and my horses. I would say that is a good thing. I just wish someone could give me map with an easier way to get there is all. I just keep hitting allot of roads under construction.[rolleyes]

I hate road construction!  Especially when there are those concrete barriers on each side and your pulling a trailer!  [eek][eek][eek]
