Hopefully things will calm down alittle as time goes on..  Cat is probably just feeling like she has to make things work with him now because of the baby, that could be why she is acting more that way.  Just remember her hormones are still outta wack, and adjusting to a newborn is hard.  For me I would prefer people to come to our house, so I don't have to lug everything with me.  But I totaly understand in your case with George and the stairs.  We are a dog family, I want Wade around dogs but at the same time my MIL's dogs worry me.  But I know/hope that they wouldn't let anything happen to Wade or his things.  I am positive you won't let anything happen to that baby eaither, he does need a talkin to about that!  You have more respect and common sence then he is giving you credit for!  Anything I don't want peed/chewed on I set up at her house, if he is that worried about it he can do the same thing!  Try to remember that not too long ago he was helping you out around the house.  It's a big adjustment for the guys also.  Having said that it doesn't mean he can be disrespectful.  Kicking a dog for no reason is not ok.

Hugs to you and George.  I am sorry George hasn't got his check.  That sucks big time especially around the holidays.  I hope you get the check soon.  Just remember Thanksgiving isn't about the big elaborate meal, it's about being with your family.  When I'm going through hard times I always try to remember there is someone out there who would love to have my life.  No matter how bad it gets things could be worse.  ((((HUGS)))
