Guess what? There be a baby here. :clap2: A baby? you might ask. From whom? you might wonder. Well, remember when I bred Baby to Junior and then thought it did not take? Suprise, it did. This baby has just been a whole bunch of suprises for me. I realized about three weeks ago that baby was going to foal. (That was the first suprise.) Then I was thinking  it might be a filly with color. Nope, it is a BS colt. (That would be number two suprise) Then I was thinking it would be a bay. Nope, it's a sorrel. (that would be number three suprise) Then I was thinking it would be born on Tuesday morning. Nope, about 1:30 in the afternoon today. (ok, suprise number four) I was thinking this baby would be born on Tuesday, so I went to work today. (Suprise on me on that one) I checked her this morning and she showed no wax or anything else. I knew she was getting close but really thought it would be Tuesday so I went to work and when I got home, there were several people standing around the field with cameras ooh'ing and awh'ing and then I saw him. My first thought when I saw him was "well, no color", ok. The I got closer and my next thought was, "IT'S RED!?!?!?"   :o ??? (Junior is a bay. BabyDo is a bay. Where the heck did red come from? Well, if you look at squirt and look at Homerun Hitters, they look exactly alike.) Then as I got to it, I realized it was a colt not a filly. I was really hoping for a colored filly. Oh well. I now have a very cute, red, white faced colt in the barn and could not be happier!!! Momma and baby (I guess I am calling him squirt for now) seem to be doing very well. BabyDo is a great momma and Squirt is not shy in the least. He will walk right up to ya. He just looks at ya like "hi, I'm new, who are you? What are you?" :dontknow:  As soon as I get a chance to get pics, I will post them.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention. My sister got me a lottery ticket yesterday and I think I won about 35 bucks with it. Yet another pleasent suprise for the day! :blob10:

Well that would be a good surprise.  She was about right, I figured her due date about the 24th or 25th.  First timer, although the color doesn't surprise me much.  Congrats on the baby.  Should have a little bit of speed with it. :clap2:

You will. I took some today. He is all legs right now. Vet was out this morning and said everything looked pretty good. He checked the colostrume levels and they are great. Doc Stone and his assistant Jock[from France], seemed to really like Squirt. Squirt was making a pest of himself while Doc was trying to flush out BabyDo. He kept trying to get into Jock's pockets or by Docs hands. Doc said he normally dose not see baby's so noise at this age (being 24 hours old). Baby is a very good mommy. I had concerns since she did not have a real big bag, but since Squirt has been nursing, Baby is making more milk. He even tried to jump around a little today. Still has not got that all four feet in the same direction at the same time thing masterd yet though. He jumps for about two/three steps and then gets a little off balance. Kinda reminds me of a white guy tyring to hip-hop dance. Just does not come naturely yet. It will. If he grows into his legs and but, he should be able to run a bit. :bow:

Okay now HH, since I jinxed you with a red colt..LOL!! hurry up and post pics please!

Squirt is doing well today. More active and really making a pest of himself to momma. He keeps biting at her face and neck while she is trying to graze. Not to mention he keeps laying down right where she wants to eat hay. His great grandma (Taxi) did the same thing when she was this age. Guess it runs in the that paint line. ;D

I got them. Now, if someone can tell me how to post them I will. Even got pics of the turkeys and the two ferrets.

okay , you will need to resize the pics so that they are under 1,000 kbs....
Then upload them to your photo gallery here, to post on the forum, you click on the little picture frame and after right clicking n the photo you want to post, and copying the properties of the photo into the middle of the () prompt..
Now that you have good drugs post the pics woman!!!!

It may take a bit. I got them on a disc and of course you have to download the hardware for Kodac. My computer does not have enough memory to download it all. I am goingto get them put on floppys so I can do this. Why do they always want you to down load stuff to get pictures off a disc?  :dontknow:
