Title: babies babies everywhere Post by: valerie on May 26, 2005, 10:24:20 PM Okay, so only 4 of them and it won't be long until the little buggers are for sale. Then starts the fun. We already had to argue with them worming and all that stuff. What joy, and just think; next year I should have like 8 of them I hope. What am I nuts?!! ???

Title: Re: babies babies everywhere Post by: valerie on May 27, 2005, 02:37:23 AM I put mine up for sale when they are 4 months old and wean them when they sell. I offer some delivery (within reason). Makes it easier to haul the babies and stuff if mom is with them anyway. I try to have them all sold before they hit 7 or 8 months. I love raising them but would rather sell them for a little less than try to keep them and have to end up breaking them and stuff. I will get some new pictures of the ones that I have this year when I get ready to put them up for sale.

Title: Re: babies babies everywhere Post by: ChestnutGrove on May 28, 2005, 04:35:35 AM I am currently starting two three year olds so I understand about not wanting to break them your self! I so enjoy starting with a "clean slate" and watching them become a well trained horse - but I will so enjoy when these two three year olds and when my yearling (still got some time before he is started under saddle!) are trained and just enjoy riding!
Will look forward to you posting pictures when you get them!!! We are cutting back so I am trying to be good and not ask what you have for sale!!! Deidre Title: Re: babies babies everywhere Post by: valerie on May 29, 2005, 01:12:38 AM No Palominos just red roans and sorrels. I gots no yellow mares to breed, his daddy and grand daddy were yellow so there is always that possiblity. I will try to get the pictures up fairly soon and I may already have the youngest one sold.
Title: Re: babies babies everywhere Post by: 1Wildcowgirl on May 30, 2005, 07:03:29 PM Any red roan fillies??? ;D I myself am trying to be good! But sometimes I just can't help myself! I have always loved the red roans and I love your stallion Val! Drop me an e-mail I would love to here about some red roan fillies!! ;D ;D
Title: Re: babies babies everywhere Post by: valerie on May 31, 2005, 08:33:32 AM 1wildcowgirl I sent you an email about the fillies. I have 1 read roan that I am going to sell and another one that I want to keep as a broodmare replacement. I would sell her but she would be about double what the others are priced at and is not going to be negotiable. Thanks for asking. These colts are all jam up good uns. The stud colt out of the daughter of Lucky Little Lena is also a roan but he is going to be small due to his mother only being 14.1 and a winning reiner.
