  Please help!!

My barrel horse, Sacred Spirit, has had some bucking problems recently. April 19th I ran him and he got about midway past the first barrel and began bucking. He recently had a wither sore but we had definetly made sure that was taken care of. It didn't seem to bother him after his crazy run. So last Saturday I ran him in barrels and poles and we came out placing first in both. No problems at all. But yesterday me and my trainer decided to do a quick breeze and he immideatly began bucking like a rodeo bronc! I managed to barely stay on, but it gave me a scare. I am beggining to worry. What's going on? Any ideas? Please reply asap.

If he were mine, I would have him gone over by a vet all over.  Everyone of mine that has done this has had an issue somewhere.  I would also consider having him adjusted by a chiro on a regular basis.  What does your trainer think?

when I was younger I would bounce, now I just splat

thank you..I will definetly get him checked over....that is what I was planning to do. My trainer believed it had something to do with his body. I am going to email a friend of mines chiro and get him checked. Thanks again!

I would check all of my equipment to see if something was rubbing his back or maybe your cinch is too tight sometimes. Something has to trigger him to buck if he usually isn't broncy.
