Filly, solid sorrel, too early to tell if it will be a roan or not.  Not a white marking on her anywhere and stout as she can be.  I may have to sell Friendly Fran and keep her.  The last solid sorrel I had ended up being the best horse I ever owned, was a 1D barrel horse, winning team penner for Gary and is now a saddle winning 3D horse for his new owner at 20 years of age.  Makes me think about it.  Stout, muscled up very friendly filly.   clap2

Life ain't about how fast you run, or how high you climb, but how well you bounce.

I didn't figure I would have any problems with this one, it is those first time mares that usually have  a problem except for Sids mare (she is a problem anyway).  I will has to charge the camera and get some pictures of her now and again at 30 days.  Garys little Lena is getting real close, been waxed for the last couple of days but she isn't due until Wednesday anyway.  4 more to go

blob10  Oh you know me and names, I instantly had one for her (though I know you don't like to name the babies).  How about Streaker, cause she broke your bad luck streak!  Can't wait to see pictures! blob10

Speaking of babies this guy down home, Buck Hadder took Matt and I to see some of his babies last evening.  They are supposivly all Hancock bred mares and babies.  He had this stout little bay (that was going to be roan), had a big ol butt on him!  He seems to know his horses and the whole time he is talking I am thinking, boy I would love to see Val and this guy in action!  Not sure if he is feeding a line of bull or what, and I would love to have Val there to tell me other wise! I never name my babies because it jinxes me, every year that I name them I have bad luck and lose them so I don't name them anymore until after they are weaned.

There are a lot of Hancock horses in this neck of the woods, most come from the Wagon Wheel Ranch, Fred Gist line bred heavily to preserve the line but the horses have to be outcrossed as a rule.  I bred Flossie to a Hancock horse in Mitchell that came from his ranch because I wanted the hybrid vigor but she never got in foal.  Interestingly enough most of them are roans.
