WAY TO GO MAINE! clap2 clap2

I never would have thought that I would be training my filly in snow in Nov. & Dec now it is MUD and WATER so it is like BBBUUUURRRRRRRRRRRR here.

Today in is like around the low 40's!

Horses are so luck, because they have warm coats.

And we have to use coats that sometimes don't get you warm!!  angry1

I WISH it was 40 degrees here! It was 15 this morning but the wind has been NASTY. Cuts right through you.

So, I swear I will ride on FRIDAY!  It is supposed to be a high of 22 degrees then!

Well it was a high of 22 degrees, with the wind chill it felt like 10 degrees (according to the weather people, but it felt much colder!)  But I got out there and finally rode!

Solomon DID NOT like the Bob Marshall saddle. I was actually surprised.  But he lets me know when he doesnt like something.  I have a Professionals Choice TwentyX Barrel Pad that is actually Blue's, but I used it on Solomon once, and he let me know real quick that he doesnt like it!  He is a weird horse.

ANYWAY! New pictures of the baby! He is 9 months old this week. Party6  They arent very good because he was following me around while I was trying to take pictures.  He is getting HUGE! His back is up to my neck now. I tried to take some comparison shots next to Solomon (16 hh) so you can see how big Noah is getting!

Checking out Solomon's new tail wrap.

This is Noah's half sister, Savannah. (excuse the manure stains!)

If it was just three turns and home, everyone could do it!

I have known horses that would not ride in a sports saddle also.  I know people that will not ride in anything else.  I can tell you this, if you don't side a horse can feel everything you do in one of those and you can make one cheat you real easy.  I know a girl that could not qualify her horse on a pattern but when I kept trying to tell her she was butt cheating the horse she would argue the point.  I put my "hard seat" as she calls it on her horse and she could qualify every time.  She still refuses to believe that it is the saddle.  Go figure

when I was younger I would bounce, now I just splat
