I know that foaling season is just around the corner and this would be a friendly reminder to all those who have mare momma's to be that Feb is about the time to make sure the mares have thier last round of shots before the baby arrives. Ramsey, Val asked me to remind you that Ms.Piggy's due date is March 15 so you will want to give Ms. Piggy her last shot at the start of Feb. I don't think Baby is going to be a momma this year, but I know she will be next year. This also means that spring is just around the corner and new babies will be hitting the ground like popping wildflowers. I can't waite.  (for spring that is) blob10

I can't wait for Spring.  Well actuall Summer!  Spring is too rainy here!  Anyway I am getting pummped to see Piggies baby!  I can't wait and I hope all goes well!  Ramsey you better call me as soon as she/he hits the ground! blob10  I am still at a battle on weather to breed my mare this year or not.  It's all depending on how much I owe on my dreaded taxes! bash  I know, I know I have had a whole year to save, but lets face it I am a terrible saver!

Yep, I have 2 in March, 3 in April and 2 in May coming.  Breeding season looks to be a little busy for me this year, I have 2 horses coming in because I donated a breeding to each horse through the hurricane relief fund.  My vet has had several people with draft mares looking at Sun Tzu and one of them has decided to breed to him and there are a couple of others looking at him this coming weekend.  They are all dressage riders.  He really is a good old boy and hopefully he can earn his keep until I can get a baby by him on the track.   I am going to breed Shot to him this year and see if I can raise a hunt seater by him to sell at one of the bigger AQHA sales.

when I was younger I would bounce, now I just splat

Lena is due April 12th.  Getting really big.  Last year was her first foal, by the way all of the TB mares I have will be having their first babies so that will be first for the stud and the mares.  Kind of hard to get people to understand about first babies sometimes.  I am worried about Dyna because she is like huge for carrying her first one, almost makes me think twins or maybe the next world record for the biggest horse or something.  I mean way too big   dontknow

Val you will have your hands full with all the first timers!  I hope everything and everyone turns out fine!  Dyna is just one of those gals who blames the extra hunger/weight on being prego!

Comet was huge when she was carring Junior too. The vet kept askeing, "When was this mare bred?" She was so big that I chose to have her foal at the vets. Besides having the foal alert torn out of her, she was fine. Junior was just one big baby!!! He still is Maybe you are just going to have a monster of a baby.
