I would be living in a city being the crazy cat lady. I know I would have the rest of the critters but I would be wondering what life would have been like if I still had them. I would also be stopping at every field that had a horse looking at it thinking how much I would want one again. I also know that had my life not changed lanes 14 years ago, I would be driving race cars. That was the sport that put the horses on the back burner at the time. We made a pretty good team then. Tom built them and I drove them. In just a few short years, we made it to our regional finals (we finished in the top 16 (but only the top 8 were paying money back Roll Eyes) and I was nominated for rookiie of the year. Even got my name put into National Dragster and the Evansville Courier a few times. Grin

I think if I did not have horses I would be bored out of my mind!  I just CAN NOT imagine me being one of those girls who goes to the mall, get there nails done every week, drives alittle car, lays out by the pool, ya know the type!  So I'm not sure I would know what I would be doing if I did not have horses.  They have really helped shape the person I am today.  Not sure if thats good or bad! Grin

HH was a race car driver!  Veeerrroooommmm!  Look out!!!!!!! Afro

Understand. Even when I was a kid I did not have any Barbie dolls. I have toy horses and dinosaures and use to steal my brothers match box cars. Grin

I had barbie dolls but they always rode horses!  I used to take all 100 of my breyer horses and put them in the living room, I would spend all day playing with them.

Me too. Grin I use to make halters/lead ropes and stalls out of shoe strings. All the chair legs had shoe strings tied around the bottem of them. Grin Mom use to get very aggrivated with me since I would always cut up all the new pairs of shoe strings and then nobody would ever have a set to replace broken ones. Roll Eyes

Thats funny!  I never thought of that!  I would take empty VCR tape boxes and set them up in the living room!  I made my own little barn! Cool

wow, hubby and i just had this  discussion on the way back from my doctor visit{eww!}
we would be living in the suburbs, and i would be insane..lol...i  have never ever in my life not had atleast 2 horses...
i had/still have all my breyer models, all 250 plus, i still collect them...i used to play with them everywhere, had little halters and bridles made out of rubber bands and string, blakets made out of dishtowels.... used books and boxes for barns and
had arenas and of course they all were Barrel horses.lol.....even then i knew where i belonged...
i would not be me without horses,  i showed all through my childhood in the pleasure shows, APHA {qualified for APHA youth world in 4 events},Palomino,Appaloosa and Quarter shows, i missed both proms and homecomings because iwas at a horse show, i dont regret a single millisecond..it has made me who i am .thank goodness!!!
what a great topic to discuss!! Grin

I went to my senior prom.  And it sucked!  I had this BF who was an  :mooner:.  I hated the socail part of school, I always got made fun of for having the horses.  I didn't care, I loved my horses more!  I showed EVERY weekend when I was in school, I'm so thankful to my parents who bought me my first horse.  I know I would have way too much time on my hands.   book1

Well, I did not go to prom but it was not a horses fault. Nobody asked me too. Cry I did spend most of my time with the horse though. He was a much better friend to me then most of the people I was around. Could be why I prefer the company of critters to most (notice I said most but not all) people. Roll Eyes

have to agree, especially since my b/f at the time went with another girl, even though we had been going out all year, needless to say that we were not after that...lol
 i got made fun alot as well, i was very shy and didnt really talk until i got to high school, and even then if wasnt horse related .well forget it...did my homework , got good grades....hated the school social aspect...would rather be riding..lol....

Well, I wouldn't have a life  Tongue  They are all I have ever known, always had them, used to work with them as a full time job then go home and work with my own.  Never had enough money to do much but always enjoyed what I did.  They took the place of family when I was growing up and by the way most of the horse people I have met over the years have been better than most family I have known.   I will work with them until the put me in the old folks home and even then I think I will have a saddle made into a rocking chair.   Roll Eyes

when I was younger I would bounce, now I just splat

At least they did not have everybody book a trip to the islands for a wedding and then cancel it right before you were supposed to leave. Angry
