well we have  had an alligator literally blocking the road to the house, he reached from one side to the other, nose to tail tip, figured i wasnt in any huge rush to get home, so he moved in his own time, a few minutes, have had more problems with rattlers than anything else.

nice to hear that i am not the only one banned from mowing..LOL!!!

What do the horses think of the Rattlers?

not very highly at all, and i dont either, i do however want to make myself a headstall using rattler skin, with rhinestones...
think it would be unusual.

planning it out lately, sketching etc etc LOL!

So this new headstall, will you shoot your own rattler?  Now that would be cool!

It is. Lord, I think the only place hotter then here right now is hell. Did get the trailer fixed though. New plug in was all it needed. I have not rode in a few days myself. Dasher looks at me and I swear I think she is saying," go ahead, get on. We'll see how long you stay there.!!"

I wish I could get someone else to do the mowing (and other odd jobs) around here. I will say it is alot easier since I got the riding mower. No way could I do this yard with just a push mower.

well the guys gave me an estimate to level the ground and build it up fo rm e arena, take out over 7 trees and trim even more.. not too bad at all... they start next tuesday.
feel bad for them , it is so hot!! i need to get arena area mowed!
but hubby is off tomorrow and swears up and down he will do , i dont need to! :rotf:

Oh man!  I had this vision of you standin with a gun shootin this big ol rattler!  Dang!  Now all I see is you walking to the mail box, opening a box and looking at your goodies.  Great! :rotf:

  You ain't a kidden!  Yesterday I felt like such a bad dog owner!  Molly my rottie stays tied out the the tree during the day well, some how she dumped her water on the hottest day of the year!!   When I got hom she was laying in the shade by her dog house panting.  Normally she is up bouncing around when she sees me, but she was just laying there.  I unfastned her and took he straight to her doggie swimming pool.  She just layed there for an hour!  I kept hosing her off and putting new water in the pool.  finally she go alittle cooled down and did not wanna be in the pool so I took her in side in front of the fans, Ramsey came over with her electrolites and we gave her a teaspoon of that.  She is doing better now, I was so scared and felt awful!  (See I can barley keep my favorite dog alive, this is why I don't have kids!)  She never dumps her water (well she did once because I didn't have it in the right spot)!  Needless to saw she is in the house today with a fan!  Gonna love to see my house when I get home tonight!

I have not read your post about Molly yet. I hope she is ok today. Barney is outside but that is because he WANTS to be outside. Goofy dog. He likes the heat.



Do they sell them at Wal-Mart?

  I'm not sure if they sell them there, I got mine at the Dollar Store and he ain't worth crap!  I would suggest going to Sears or something like that.  Make sure they have a return policy, Dollar Tree won't take mine back, I think he is broken! :whip:

Maybe I can put one on lay-a-way? 

  That might be a good idea!  just make sure you don't leave him on Lay-a-way too long or he will spoil!
