How do i get my avatar thingy to appear??

Hi Whitney,

Click on the My Profile link in the menu to the left and from there look for the Edit link.  Once in the area to edit your profile, you can either pick from the available avatars (some animated western graphics are available, you can browse through them right there by clicking on each item in the dropdown menu).  Or you can select one of your own, that has been uploaded to the internet somewhere... I have added an example of what you should be looking for.  Put the URL of the photo you want to be used as your avatar in the corresponding box.

Ok I think I must be going crazy!! When I was on here before my avatar was showing up fine but now it isn't there[frown]?!?!? I tried to redo it but it keeps telling me there is an error. What do I do?Huh

I think you're doing everything through this website correct, but it looks like you're linking to a photo stored on Webshots.  I'm not positive, but I believe that Webshots frowns on "remote linking" which basically means any photo you have stored on a website other than the one you're posting it on.  Some photo storage websites don't mind, so you have to check out each website you visit.

OK so I tried it form a diff site, Tinypic.com but it still is giving me the error?!?  any suggestions???
