And I bet since they have an arena and stuff, we could even have a little 'barrel race' between us!!! :)

Never been to Smoke Rise it is supposed to be a nice place I will check it out and being able to rent a horse will help also.  We could all figure something out.  I will bring my friend and maybe her husband, he doesn't ride either but we could get him on one for at least a couple of hours or so.  We could make him be the main chef too.

Ohhh a barrel race between the bunch of us, what fun.  We could just hang out and let those smart aleck men get to know each other, but come to think of it that may not be smart either.  [bones]  Those men can be evil [evil]

What ever you guys think, but I don't think Matt is going to come, he said he'd watch Isabelle so I could have fun![grin]

I'm gonna try and make Aaron come (lol), and he's not a big horse guy (he'll ride occasionally, or if I ask him, but its just not his 'thang' - his horses are really under the hood).  He'll be happy to just 'hang out' with the other hubbies. LOL... I'm sure my folks or his folks could watch the kiddo, and if we do a weekend type ride, we could leave here on Friday after 6pm (when he gets off) and drive down.  I have an email into Smoke Rise so I'll let you guys know when that comes back.

Hey, how about the first weekend in Sept? 3,4,5?

Well that is labor day weekend and that is usually the busiet trail riding weekend of the year, so that is not the best choice and I have to work a seminar that Friday.  I am free on Saturday and Sunday but most private camp places have scheduled rides that weekend and they cost a little more.  Would have to do a weekend before or after or hope that we could all get in on a scheduled ride.

Since I don't have a "guy", can I just bring my dog instead? He is a male so he can hang out in the "guy" group.

Well I don't know for sure if my husband will come or not, he isn't into being "one of the girls" but you never know how the male ego works.  If I can get my traveling buddy to come her hubby may come if there is anyplace to fish real close.  He would rather do that than ride.

And what dates are you thinking?  Dogs depend on what campgrounds you go to, some have leash requirements now and some private ones don't allow them.

Forgot about Labor Day! I thought it would be cooler in Sept., but I don't want to worry about bees either.

Horsehappy - Matt more than likely isn't going (said the reason he bought me a horse was so I'd go do more things on my own).[rolleyes]

Ok, I guess "my guy" stays home in the yard then. Now, lets see what I can come up with to ride on the trails.[rolleyes]
