Just wanted to let you guys know I'm still alive!  I have big plans for the site but that will have to wait until little Jaylen is here.  Yes we're having a girl and her name is Jaylen Rhianna.  I have 23 more days until my due date but I may go a little early.  I'll post an update when she's here!!!  All the horses are still doing good (aside from Traveler, but that's a different story.  He's still hangin in there but I wish I could say he was doing better!)

Well you better let us know when she is born and get this site going again.  You have missed the newbies and all that stuff.   One of my friends came out and spent 5 days over the 4th of July and likes the area so much she is selling and changing jobs so she can move out this way.

The horses are doing great.   I have sold 2 since moving here.  Don't plan on selling any others, at least not for a while yet.  Sun Tzu is very happy up on the hill with the 4 mares we left him with for the summer.  All the mares except for a  couple of Sid's (old mares) are in foal and we are waiting for next year.  I have 2 babies with hernia's to fix and Sid has one to fix.  A little cheaper out here to fix them so I am not going to get real excited about that either.  Have the 2 yr old TB broke and he is turned out for 60 days before we start on him again.  Gary's Lena gelding and Bossy are out being broke now and should be home in another 30 days.  Guy says my Bossy is STUBBORN STUBBORN and BOSSY!  LOL, guess I named her right.  She is the exact opposite of Fran.

What is up with Traveler?  Hope he is doing well.  Sounds more like he had a touch of EE or WNV instead of true EPM, there has been major outbreaks of EE in the last 9 months, people don't vaccinate anymore and if you wait until after they are exposed it doesn't help.  I will pray for him for Rams.

Have you noticed that there has been a few newbies on the board?  Someone needs to pop in once in a while and check them out.  Everyone keep in touch, I am going to try to get the digital camera charged and put some photos on the board in the next few days.

Glad to hear Fran is the opposite of Bossy!  She doesn't seem to be bossy or stubborn.  Spoiled, YES!  Dena and Greg just love there Ziggy babies!  I guess ol Kermit loves the cows!  I haven't bred eaither of my mares.  The horse market here isn't worth it.   It will be a while before I breed again I imagine.  My proirity after this kid is out is Fran (horse wise, lol).

clap2  Way to go, Rams have another one on the way.  clap2

The horse market is down a little here but nothing like back home.  Out here is just different and people don't buy weanlings, yearlings or broodmares.  If you can saddle them and get on them then you can sell them.

How is Traveler doing?  Have you heard?  Poor Rams has had such a time with him.

Bossy is the hard headest Ziggy baby I have known.  Cannot believe it.  She is going to be fine but she is funny about it.  Kind of had a feeling about her.   The last Ziggy has a temerment more like Fran but isn't sure she wants to be that friendly.  The last I heard, Ziggy was making a jam up roping horse.

I am not going to breed Rene next year only the 3 TB mares that I have kept.  I will maybe breed Rene every other year or so and that is about it.

Ramsey had her kid!  A girl, Jaylen Rhianna, 8lbs 1 oz!  On July 30th!  I'm sorry I can't check in everyday like normal.  We have been so busy at work, we have a new girl, crop certification and the new farm bill.  It's driving me insane! lol!

Last I heard Trav wasn't doing the best but not like he was.  She was wanting to get him back on some supplemnets which she thought might help.

I just can't see justifing breeding right now when horses are so down in price around here.  I'm wanting to cut back on horses and just have a small number.  I got burnt out always riding babies and never having a "borke" horse.  I need to get myself a broke horse to pony the pony off of for when the kid gets older!

The horse market isn't as bad around here as back home but they don't buy babies and broodmares.  I have noticed a lot of people that just throw their kids up on a horse and most of the ones I have seen trail riding seem to be getting older half arabs because they are smaller or they have the little ones up on ancient old ponies.  You are thinking way to far ahead.  LOL.   Cheesy   You might get shot back to riding and put the kid up on her after he/she is a little older, think you might be surprised.  Shot is very light mouthed and rides in an O ring snaffle but it has been awhile.
