No pretty leaves here, well a few but most of the trees out here just turn a little yellow and dump the leaves on the ground.  Way to many pecan and black walnut trees here.  Been in the upper 40's at night and mid 70's during the day.  Not due for a frost yet in this area for another 4 weeks or so.  SE corner of the state was a good choice.  Sure wish you guys could all come for a visit sometime.  They just has a big trail ride at a ranch an hour west of me in the Flint Hills, cost 35 and that included food and Friday overnight camping (primitive).  The locals say we are going to have a bad winter with lots of snow?  Ok the annual snowfall is like 8 inches a year so what are they calling for?  dontknow

Still having to mow the yard and Gary is giving the fields a final brush hogging before winter hits.  Every one got all their hay in for the year?

Shannon- next weekend is the last weekend of congress, we will eaither go there or to truck pulls.  I would love to ride!

Val- wow, sounds like a fun/cheap trail ride!  We will make it our some day!!  Oh I ment to tell you!  I have Fran at a friend/trainer!  She txt me to see if I had any pups, well I had 1 (only one of the litter was going to keep him) and asked if she wanted to trade the pup for training on Fran.  She sais sure, so she has her for 30 days!  She rides/trains mostly WP/HUS horses.  She will put a good handle on her, ride her and keep her mouth soft!  I am excited to get her back!  It frost here last night!  CRAZY!  8inchs, did you laugh at them!  8 inches is cake!

8 inches is stay home, build a fire & make a pot of beef stew LOL!

Val, too late in the year (and too broke now) for me to come out but...next summer or fall for sure! I've got a trailer thanks to my friend Mike & a good trail horse thanks to George, would love to come ride out there and visit!

Wild- good trade on the pup for training!

Today has been a good day. Jeremy & I got so much done! He raked & dragged the horse pasture & patched some more fence for me while I cleaned up the run-in and re-organized the kitchen, got all the sheets & comforters washed and hung out to dry. I swear sun dried sheets smell the best! With George gone I was able to cook *real* Italian food for dinner, he'll only eat spaghetti & meatballs. Made a huge pan of stuffed manicotti with italian sausage and topped with shredded provolone, all melted and gooooey- YUMMMMMMM!!!

Wild, I'm 45 minutes to an hour south of Louisville depending on which way you come, y'all are welcome anytime! I *think* you are about 4 1/2-5 hours away but don't quote me on that.
I love to cook & I tend to cook in large amounts LOL. Towards the end of next month I'll start baking cookies & breads & sweet stuff for Christmas baskets, it's one of the things the kids still enjoy doing with me almost as much as when they were little!
