So we went down to the Red Barn Arena this weekend.  I was meeting the gal who was taking Piggy for me to work with her, and Nicole hauled her for me but then decided to just bring her horses and run her mare Rosie in Adult.  There was about 40-45 in the class, and she was in the very last drag, almost at the end.  I'm not sure what her time was but she ended up being FIRST in the 3D!!!  WOOOHOOO!  Way to go Nicole and Rosie!!!  She had a really nice run!

I, too, had a really nice day.  I was going to ride her other mare, Sassy, around, (just hauling her for the experience right now) but I didn't wanna leave Pigs tied up to the trailer by herself, so I braved the rapids and saddled her and rode her around.  SHE DID AMAZING!  She was a little tense and unsure, but no major blow ups (no bronco Rodeo Ramsey moments) and she did everything I asked of her.  Walked in the arena and stood and watched others ride, walked around outside in the make up pen, she was amazing.  She even let a little 10yo kid come running up to her and throw his arms around her to hug her (I thot she'd flip, but she just stood there like an old pro).  Then it was time to load her in the other gal's trailer.  It prolly took us 30-35 minutes to load her at home.  Typical Piggy.  But she literally STEPPED right up in and I was so proud of her!  Good girl!  Now come back with the basics down.  WTC w/ no bucking.  I'll be good then. LOL!

clap2 We had a great Sat!  I was happy just to be riding but when they called my name I couldn't beleive it!  I thought I was a second too slow to place in the 3D!  We ran an 18.002.  I would have liked to run a 17, but it all worked out! Grin  I lost my stirrup coming out of the first barrel, she kept trying to cut into the second barrel and because of that we tipped it.  But had a smooth third barrel.  I think i stopped pushing her once i lost my stirrup.  It all worked out though!!!!

Yes Piggs did great at the show!  Actually I thought she was great all day!  Not the fire breather I thought she would be (from talking to Ramsey) LOL!

blob10  Ain't getting a check great.  Piggy isn't that bad she just wants a job and to be ridden all the time.  BTW the red barn is for sale, why don't we all get together and buy it and put on some shows and clinics and make a few? clap2

Val your moving!  You would leave us all alone to run it???  Now that would be scary! LOL!  I liked the layout of it, but I thought the foot could have used some improvements.

Well if we bought it, I could drive the motor home back and live in it and be the resident manager until we made enough money for everyone to quit their jobs.  I think that place could make money being rented out for events.  The ground is only as good as the people working it.

Well I can't remember, but it is advertised on barrel horse world under horse properties.  It doesn't need dirt hauled in, it needs a chisel plow then worked and mixed with a little sand.  They have to many ropings on that ground and they let it pack way to hard
