Whats everyone been up to?  Hows the horses?  Getting ready for winter?

Me, well I have been staying busy with my animals and all the flippin weddings, and family events I have had this year!  I have however had time to ride.  I try and ride about 2-3 times a week.  I'm trying to get Sassy started on barrels and get Rose back in shape!  All the other horses are doing great!

We have all the horses except the weanlings moved to Kansas, and they should be out there before Thanksgiving.  We are starting to take the rest of the farm equipment and some of the house stuff out.  Plan on being moved out there as soon as we get the check for the house and have the new well in and electric run to it.  Went to the congress on the 26th, watched a few classes looked at all the booths.  Guess it doesn't hve the attraction it used to for me.   Glad that the board it back up was missing all of you

Thats pretty exciting/scary that it's almost total moving time.    I bet you don't know what to do with so little horses at the farm though!   We went to Congress the 13-14 and watched the Freestlye.  It was pretty cool.  Nothing out standing I thought.  But it's hard to top Stacey Westfall.  We went again on Sat.  There didn't seem to be a whole lot of people there.  Watched alittle barrel racing, walked around and thats about it.

I love the freestyle reining but haven't watched it in years.  I watched a little of the pleasure futurity or maturity whichever it was.  I have to say I was really dissapointed that the horses are not any better than the last time I looked.  So un natural, must be why all the open shows and foundation type shows are picking up they are back to the true walk, jog, lope but oh well.  I still enjoy watching the western riding, and trail classes but didn't get to see any of them.  I did watch the whole first go of the barrel sweepstakes, entries were down a little I thought.

We sign the paper work for the sale of the house tomorrow and then I have about 4 months to get the new well and wiring for that in and we are gone.  Have about 3 loads of farm equipment to haul out and a load of horse stuff and then just the stuff from the house.  More than likely we will rent a U-haul truck for that.

I hate moving.

I didn't get to watch Western Pleasure events.  Sad  I actually haven't watched them in a couple years.  Last time was probably 2005 when my friend showed!  I got on AQHA today to renew my membership (getting ready to register the babies) and I noticed they were talking about more of the Ranch horse stuff.  Thats just great, I think!  I wish they would do more of that around here.

Good Luck signing the papers today.  Yeah I bet it's a mess moving your whole life that far!  When you moving the babies?

Hi guys....nothing fun going on here at all.  Work and then there is work and when thats done guess what back to work.  Still doing the wedding thing and the restaurant thing.  Just finished football season with Robert.  Very disappointing season for him.  Due to 2 count them 2 stupid ass mistakes this year no state for him senior year.  One game the QB spiked the ball on 4th and about a foot from the goal.  Then some bad officials did not blow a play dead they should have and the ball was stripped and ran in for a winning td.  Oh well win some loose some.

Absolutely no horse stuff going on here.  Havent even seen them in a few months with them at my parents house now.  I tell ya it totally sucks ass.  The cost of hay out here this year is going through the roof.  lots of people are selling horses for next to nothing to keep froming paying for hay.  Which by the way there is very little hay to be found in the first place.

Other then that Val I hope your move goes well I hate moving too.  It sucks so much.  I do not have any stuff compared to you so i have much sympathy.

Wild you are so lucky to be riding keep going and don't let anything stop you from doing what you love.

Turning it's so good to hear from you!  I think you should take your own advise and not let things stop YOU from doing what you love!  You sound so sad in your post.  I miss the crazy fun Turnin. Undecided  Hay prices are going to be crazy hear this year also.  I'm lucky I have my hay locked in and already bought.  I had to feed about 25 round bales to hold my square bales over, I tell ya round bales makes a gal lazy! LOL!  I'm THANKFULLY done with weddings for a long while!  Mom and I joked that we should start our own wedding business because we go to ssssooooo many.  But honestly I HATE weddings!  Hang in there chickie!  And don't dissapear on us again!  Even if you aren't riding or getting to see your nags, we miss you!

Wedding planning is more fun then restaurant management believe me.  I am driving a lot all over the state meeting clients.  I am still also working 50 hours a week for elmers so wow i get tired.  I think seeing the speckled butt at thanksgiving gave me inspiration to get my butt in gear make tons of cash and find a place where my horse is welcome all year round.  Perhaps after graduation next summer.
