'Ello everyone. I'm Marielle and I have two Arab mares, August Melody and MCA Maebelline. Melody is a 7 year old 14.1hh bay mare and she literally does everything from reining to jumping, but our main focuses are hunter pleasure and contesting. She's new to the "fast stuff", but she caught on pretty quickly and has been running pretty consistently in the 2D at the IBRA and NBHA events we've done so far this year. We also show on the class A Arab circuit. Maebelline, my other mare and Mel's half sister, is a 6 year old and we haven't completely decided what she'll do "when she grows up", but she has the movement and conformation to do saddleseat. She can jump the moon. She can also flip back and have the movement and mindset for western pleasure. Agh, so many possibilities!

I also enjoy photography - I'm the girl who ALWAYS has her camera around her neck for fear of missing a good shot. When I'm not riding or taking pictures, I can usually be found swimming. I'm a swimmer on my HS varsity team and my event is the 500m freestyle.

Look at those Arab ladies go fantasic pictures.  I love it when Arabs are shown for the diverse horses they are.  So many people think of them as too high strung or whatever but they are not.  (sometimes)  I have one half arab and I used to own a arab appy in high school.  They do make life a little more interesting for sure.  I am jealous I wish my horses were closer I am in total withdrawl.

Welcome to RH!!!!  Awesome pics!!!!!!  You look like you're having a blast, and that's the best thing no matter what breed or discipline!  Glad to have you posting on the site!  Any technical issues with the site, just give me a holler (I'm the admin).  I had an Arab once when I was in HS too -- he was Egyptian bred (I think) but he was huge - 15.3.  He was pretty cool but was more flighty and stuff than my QHs.  Anyhow, again, welcome to the site!  This is a great little community!

Welcome!  Thanks for sharing the pictures! Grin  I am strictly a QH/Paint girl, never owned anything else!  But love watching Arabs, they are so pretty!
