I am just starting out in barrel racing (a long way to my first run, horse is just green broke..) but I would love to find any info on getting started in Australian barrel racing.  This is a great site, but I would like to know what association, if any I need to join, dates for events, divisions if we even have them, entry costs etc.  I have been to the ABCRA website but really would like a bit more info on barrel racing.  I have got a great insite through this site, it inspired me to pursue my goal and I finally got my horse broke and am clocking up some hours with him, but being a 3yo (him, not me, I'm 10x then some..) I don't want to miss futurity opportunties IF THERE ARE ANY!!!  Also, how do I post a pic for you all to see him? You can be honest as I'm all the way down here anyway...Thanks for taking the time to read my post..If there are any other aussie members would be glad to know...Ta.

Howdy Jane!  Welcome to the website!  I'm glad you've decided to chase cans!  TONS of fun!  Not sure about the Australian thing but I'd reckon that to chase cans in the states is about the same as to chasing cans Down Under! But hopefully you'll be able to find a lot of great info and pointers here. 

To post a pic you can upload it to a free image hosting place like www.Photobucket.com or similar, and then link here by clicking the Img icon - - and it will surround the link with image tags.  Or you can click the "Additional Options..." link below and Attach an image directly from your computer.
