1996 Welcome to Runninghorses.net Forums! / Flat Track Racing / Re: Association for Amateur Horse Racing?
Not a bad idea. If you check your AQHA history, you will see that this is how allot of the founding stallions made a name for themselves. Before there was organized racing, if someone thought their horse was fast, they would just put up a little money and anybody who wanted too could match thier horse. Winner take all. I would love to see something like that but then you would have to find a way that the "real" race horses did not come in just to pick up the money. Maybe keep it a "lap and tap" forum. You know how the big hot shots are, don't know what to do with out a starting gate (he,he) [rolleyes]

1999 Welcome to Runninghorses.net Forums! / Barrels & Contesting / Re: Would YOU breed to him?
All the colts I have breed so far have been out of unproven studs. I looked more at the bloodlines and picked out what I thought would cross well on my mare. So far I have not been disappointed. If he has the bloodlines I am looking for and after seeing him I like the way he moves and acts, and the price was right, sure I would take the chance. As I said on another forum, Not every great show horse was proven to be a great sire and not every great sire was proven to be a great show horse.[smile]

Hey Barrelgirl, if you go to your profile and do the edit thing (I think) you can add a picture. If you have one on a disk or an account set up with one of the photo server sights.
Does this make any sence? I loaded mine when I created my profile. You can also ask Ramsey. She made up this site she should know.
