My mare Rose is sensitive and wants to GO all the time!  She was my X WP mare- turned barrel horse.  She LOVES to run and GO!  I don't "cowboy" her, I prefer to walk on the trails- she would rather prance. lol!

i think just gettting the word out is the main thing- you have an easy site to post on.  i also like the idea of having a place for us "locals" to chat, find out about local barrel races, trainers etc.  I mean lets face it, not to many people know the runninhorses.net name so merging it would just be us 3-5 followers going to a diffrent place, which isn't a problem for me!  But us ol faithfuls need a special job!

Sharon- so how was your Christmas?  Did you get to see that angel of a granddaughter?  How did Jeremy like his saddle?

We had a great Christmas and it's not over yet!  We are headed up to my parents today, then on to my grandmas tomorrow!

tonight i made a chicken rice dish.  i'm waitin on wade to get done eating then i will eat!  i ate first last night so matts eatting first tonight. 

tomorrow i go pick up fran!!  i can't wait to ride her!  i hope i have time!  it will be great to have her home!

I'm here!!   Been a semi busy day!  My SIL was down- we had lunch.  Plus I have been trying to get all my last min shopping on line done.

Oh Val if we came for a visit you would be ready to get rid of us the moment we got there!lmao!  Our plans for the holidays are the same as normal.  Matts family on Christmas Day and my parents the weekend after!  Hold dinner done.  I'll be back!

Yup, DHL is in the town next to us.  It's bad around here as far as jobs.  It's very scary.  So far it seems like Matt and I are lucky with no talk of cuts.  If I come out I will probably be leaving Wade at home with his dad,lol!  Dad can take of a week for deer hunting- Mommy can take off a long weekend to go ride!   I am really looking forward to riding Fran this summer on the trails.  Then next year I will start her on barrels.

The price of land/homes had alot to do with why we moved.  We have a 45min drive one way to work.  But if we moved our land and house closer to work we would have paid double!   Land out where Val lives is resonable, we were looking when she moved out there.  Once Wade gets older, maybe summer 2010 (lol) we will have to haul out together to harrass Val- she will love it!  Maybe HH will be there by then!

I will be starting back to work soon..  I have went in a few days to help out because we have been short staffed.  The first week is going to suck!  I am getting used to doing what I want when I want,lol!  Wade and I normaly don't get dressed till about 3!!!

Shot is still hangin out up at my parents, living the pampered life!  Her turn out buddy is Wades mini horse.  Mom says they look adorable out there together!  Shot loves just about any horse, big or small!

I got to ride Fran!  I think I told you gals that I traded one of my puppies for 30 day on her with a friend (she trains full time).  I rode her about 2 weeks ago!  She did great for just having 30 days on her!  The girl that has her says she is one of the smartest- most stubborn horse she has had in a long time,lol!  I got to walk, trot and canter her.  Boy can she cover some ground!  My friend trains mostly WP horses and she said she would love her front legs cause she is so flat legged!  She was smooth to ride, just diffrent for me having such a long strided horse!  I can't wait to get her on the trails and then start her on the pattern!  It felt great to ride her, she was so relaxed!

Do you have any pictures of Bossy?  I would love to see her!  Sorry about your other filly that always sucks. 

Ramsey is around, not sure how much she checks in here.  She has her hands full with her older kid and the baby.  The baby has been colicy and has reflux.  Wed Ramsey got her tubes tied, so no more babies for her!!!  I talked to her Thursday and she was recovering from that.  I know she has been working both Pigs and Kippy, and has even riden Piggy a few times.
