What wedding?
Shea sounds more like she was owned by someone that just wanted to go all the time. I see people all the time that think all you can do is run. They watch way to many TV shows.
She will get over it once she learns that you want to walk and relax, just takes time.

Don't you take this site down again, it stays down for so long that we lose people that come here. Hang in there and we will get the word out but you will have to come on once in a while too. Hard to get people to visit here if you don't come yourself. Bad Ramsey Bad

I'm back from the trip. Long trip, AZ and NM are nice to visit but who would want to live there? Well maybe TBB since they don't get snow down there.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas and all that. I will type more later

Looks like Wade likes men in red suits with white beards. Good pictures. Keep them, my mom still has my first one with santa claus.
I am going to be gone for a little over a week starting Tuesday morning. Going to Hereford AZ to spend xmas with my aunts. Won't have computer access while I am gone so I wanted to tell everyone Happy Holidays and I will talk to you all when I get back on the 31st.

Nothing lazy about grilled cheese and tomato soup.
I want a cast iron stove so if the power goes out I can still cook on it.
I would never be ready to get rid of you if you came for a visit. You all are welcome anytime.
Get your shopping done, we already did our xmas so I am done, other than taking a couple of bottles of wine to the aunts and that is it. I got my moms stuff done in March, gave her the fruit of the month club, LOL

Actually Sissy was a give away she kept getting out and tearing up her neighbors yards so I gave her away she ended up costing her a lot of money in yard repairs. The other 2 are in Iowa now. Horses are easier to sell out here, I noticed the biggest part of the free horses advertised are east of the Mississippi and I think that is because most people have to board out or are losing their jobs. Not a good thing.
We have an inch of snow today along with a freezing drizzle all day. It never stays here long tho, seems like it is only cold for a few days at a time then warms back up. You can keep the sleet, not good, good thing you have a wood stove, I want to put one in just in case.
Glad that you have got to ride the new one at least once. You will feel better once you get to start riding again.
Where is Wild? And what happened to Turnin?

Jeremy should take advantage of all things youth while he can. Hope he gets a big one then you can put it in the freezer.
I have a facebook page now but am having great difficulty setting it up. I know, I am clicker impaired!
I got rid of another horse for Horse Happy, actually 2 but she took one in on trade so she is down Sissy & Squirt, traded Dasher for a yeller filly that she can ride. I only have to help her get rid of one more then she should be able to handle her horse situation.
Shannon are you riding your new one?
It is freaking cold here this morning and supposed to be cold for the next couple of days then back to the 50's again. Good grief make up your mind with the weather. I am looking forward to my time off at Christmas from the 23rd to the 6th and it doesn't count against our vacation and we get paid for it!
Wild what are your plans for babies first xmas?

9 Welcome to Runninghorses.net Forums! / Off the Wall / bah, humbug, my take on the holidays
I saw a Christmas card the other day that kind of expresses how I feel about relatives and such.
Santa Claus has the right idea, visit people once a year.
I know not nice but sometimes family just plain wears you out. So how is everyone doing?
I sure wish you all would come for a visit. Both of my Ziggy babies are riding well and showing a lot of natural cow. I wish now that I would have kept him and not cut him. Oh well. My Sun Tzu babies are doing well, 2yr old is 15.3 and still going up, the 2 yearlings are 15 and 15.2 and my dog gone weanling is 14.3 already! I am still trying to get pictures to load.

10 Welcome to Runninghorses.net Forums! / Off the Wall / Re: Where is Turnin Burnin Buddy, Shannon and Horse Happy?
Yep land here is still cheaper and I know that in Indiana people can't sell their homes because they overpaid for the land and homes they built. My boy will have to live in his house for about 15 years to be able to get out from under it. I like being around nothing but small towns, lifestyle is so different around here but then jobs don't pay as much but the cost of living is lower too. It is all a trade off I think.
Bring Wade and come on out.
Horsehappy works for American General and we all know what kind of shape they are in she is worried about her job, another friend of mine drives for DHL and they are going under and she is going to lose her job too. I know more people from back home with no jobs right now.
Everybody come out, we can build a fire, find a place to put your horses up or if you are willing put you on some colts and go for a ride. I like to hike and there are some neat places to do that too

It sounds to me like he is an over protective father. It is usually the mother's yelling at the dad's over stuff like that. She will wake up sooner or later. It took my son about 4 years before he got rid of his first wife and I did the major happy dance. Unfortunately we still have to deal with her since she is the mother of the 2 oldest grandsons.
Well if you decide to move you might consider Mo or out here with us in KS. Not a big population in either. I cannot believe that anyone would try to put in a subdivision with the job and housing market the way it is right now. I bet it will be more like 5-10 years before that one gets off the ground.

Hey glad to hear you got a new horse. You should have fun riding now. I know a lot of really good pleasure horses that will run like that when turned out but they don't act like that at all on their backs. You should go to some local stuff and have fun with it. How is George doing?

I never saw my mom more than a couple of times a year when I lived in Indiana. I think she just wanted to see the place. Surpised she made the drive because she can't sit in one position for very long with her osteoporosis. She is 80 and is doing okay. My sister from Canada has been here twice already and she is wanting to buy a house in one of the small towns in the area for when she retires from work so she will have a place to live. Can't buy anything in Canada. I am telling you that you would love it out here. Gary and I are thinking of doing some cattle sorting next spring, there are a few places that are real laid back that you can do that and it would be good for the colts too.

Glad to hear that you got to ride Fran. I don't have any pictures of Bossy but I will take some and e-mail them to you. She really rides good. The Sun Frost line doesn't like to be told what to do but they like to be asked and they will do anything for you. All of Shot's babies and grandbabies are flat kneed and long strided. Shot had a stride on her too but it was easy to collect her and change her stride but I don't like a fake look.
It is good to hear that Rams is working with her horses. Both should make her good ones if she puts some time on them. Kids change your life style a lot. Tying of the tubes is a good way to go for her. Way cheaper in this day and age than raising more kids, LOL

Welcome newbie.
Sorry to hear that you were sick wild. I didn't eat that much turkey, don't like turkey
I was going to ride a little over the week I was off but my filly (the one I have been trying to start all year) blew an abcess in her right hind, I just told her to go ahead and blow one in the left hind and that will make all 4 feet. I have been off her more this year for stupid things than any thing else.
On another note. Got Bossy back from being broke, she is a natural for cattle, rides real good but a little hard headed which I am going to blame on the Rene Dan Jet in her. Hope to haul her next summer to see the sights but really don't want to start her on the pattern as a 3 year old since I am not into futurities.
Wild are you doing any riding yet since the baby?
Shannon did you find yourself a horse?
Where the heck is Rams?
