Title: movin horses in bout a month
Post by: turninburninbuddy on August 17, 2006, 09:48:18 AM
Well guys the summer of trail riding is almost over and I am moving my horses back to the arena.  No more barrel withdrawls for me there is light at the end of the tunnel.

My dads barn is still in the permit stages of construction.  How long do u think It'll take the construction company to put up the barn once they have the permits?  Its a pole barn with all the stalls and whatnot included.  I think its like 24x36 or 36x36.

I am defenitly keeping buddy here with me through the winter I am not sending him up to dads I worked out a fantastic boarding deal.  70.00 a month I provide the food which is ok by me.  I have really good hay right now and I will keep them on it.

TB since it is a pole barn it should go up rather quickly. I would say in a couple of days. Congrats and hope you enjoy it when its done.

I hope your right.  I am really looking forward to dad taking his horse back.  She is pretty and all but what a knuckle head.  I am probably just jealous she is so totally a guys horse its pathetic.

No it was only a summer thing.  Landlord is concerned about the ground which by the way is now nearly all bare dirt getting torn up.  Its ok I will have an indoor arena to ride in all winter.  Cause here in the winter its soooo wet if your not indoors you cannot usually ride more then once or twice a month.

My pole barn is 60 x 195 and it took them all of 2 weeks to build it.  70 a month is pretty cheap and a real good deal.  There is a lot to be said about keeping them at home but for showing and hauling keeping him at the other place seems like it makes more sense anyway.  At least you will be able to ride and work your horse more often and maybe someone there will want a hauling buddy to the shows?

Its sure good to see ya back val.  I am really trying to find someone who runs barrels out here its crazy there are so many horses in corbett and no runners its hard to believe.

I think arena work will help buddy with his stopping issue as well.  He knows there is no way out until its time to leave.  So perhaps he will be more inclined to listen!!
